We surprised my parents by announcing my second pregnancy asking them to take a picture with Humnoy and his cousin while recording the entire reaction. I should have known Laotian parents would make it so awkward.
Happy Friday!

Lol, they are too funny.
Aren’t they? They sure make life interesting. I’m glad they’re different …. sometimes.
Hahaha! That’s adorable.
My mother-in-law (she’s Libyan) told us, no more children, we can only deal with two, haha!
Too funny! I think it’s gotta be an ethnic difference. My in-laws (caucasian southern folks) are stoked! Haha
hahahahhahah so typical of Laotian parents… Instead of jumping joy.. Their reactions was like…. OH No…. NO More… hahahhahah Notices that Laotian parents doesn’t jump up to give their daughter or son-in-law a hug… That’s love!!! hahahha
My American friends never understood how Lao parents were so ‘unaffectionate’ and how we never said, “I love you” or give hugs. It’s just in our culture to be lovey-dovey or at least show it in public in front of others.
That’s Lao parents, for ya. Expressionless and serious about what’s supposed to be exciting news! 😀
